The Pembroke Regional Hospital is seeking a Manager, Finance. This position is offered on a Permanent Full-Time basis.

Reporting to the Director, Finance and Procurement, the Manager, Finance is responsible for the oversight of the department’s accounting functions including accounts payable, billing and accounts receivable and general accounting. The Manager, Finance, is responsible for the preparation of monthly internal financial statements, year-end audit preparation, other legislative corporate reporting and the annual budget process.


Requirements:

  • Minimum Bachelor’s Degree in Business Administration, Accounting or related field
  • CPA designation is required
  • Minimum of five (5) years of accounting experience, with at least two (2) years of supervisory experience
  • Experience of Hospital Financial Management in a unionized environment
  • Working knowledge of Ministry of Health and Long Term Care (MOHLTC) reporting

  • Knowledge and demonstrated experience with Ontario Hospital Reporting Standards (OHRS)
  • Ability to facilitate and adapt to change in a fast-paced environment
  • Ability to multi-task
  • Excellent interpersonal, oral and written communication skills
  • Ability to manage deadlines ability to analyze and interpret complex data
  • Strong leadership and team development skills
  • Advanced computer skills; MS Office (Excel, Word, etc.) accounting software, business intelligence and other reporting tools
  • Must have demonstrated ability to meet the attendance standards of the Hospital


Preferred:

  • Experience in healthcare or a Hospital environment is preferred
  • Bilingualism (French/English)
