Performance Boat Club Canada brought together boating enthusiasts from across Ontario on August 22 for Giver on the River, raising $15,235 for the Pembroke Regional Hospital Foundation.

 

The annual event featured a day on the Ottawa River followed by an evening dinner, auction, and fundraising activities, all in support of local health care.

 

Foundation Executive Director Roger Martin had the opportunity to join participants on the water and experience firsthand the strong sense of community that defines the event.

 

"The hospitality and generosity shown throughout the day was incredible," said Martin. "I had a wonderful time experiencing the river with the group and seeing the passion they have not only for boating, but for giving back. The support shown for local health care was truly inspiring."

 

The Pembroke Regional Hospital Foundation extends its sincere thanks to Performance Boat Club Canada, and especially to Brett Wells and Marc Davis, whose dedication and hard work helped make this year's event such a success.

 

"It was wonderful to see so many people come together for a great cause," said Stacy Taylor, Community Engagement Specialist with the Pembroke Regional Hospital Foundation. "We're grateful to Performance Boat Club Canada, Brett, Marc, and everyone involved for their support of local health care and for helping raise over $15,000 for the Foundation."

 

For more than 20 years, Performance Boat Club Canada has combined its passion for boating with a commitment to giving back in the communities that host its events. This year's Giver on the River continues that tradition, with proceeds supporting priority equipment needs at Pembroke Regional Hospital through the Foundation's Together We Care Campaign.

 

The Foundation thanks all participants, sponsors, volunteers, donors, and auction supporters for their generosity and support with their sight now set on next year’s Giver on the River 2.0!
