As part of our ongoing commitment to quality, safety, and accountability, the Pembroke Regional Hospital participates in Accreditation Canada's Qmentum program. The Accreditation process is an opportunity to assess the quality and safety of the care and services we provide against national standards of excellence. It also allows us to identify strengths and areas for improvement in a way that is transparent and holds us accountable to our communities. This process is our opportunity to showcase the great work that our team does every day!
The result of ongoing improvement initiatives and our commitment to high-quality safety efforts across all areas of the hospital was celebrated during our last survey conducted in 2018. We take pride in the fact that PRH received the highest ranking awarded by Accreditation Canada's Qmentum Program - Exemplary Standing with 100% of the criteria met.
Our next onsite survey will take place April 3-6, 2023. With the dedicated support of our staff members and engaged physician community, the whole organization, including patients, families, volunteers and Board members will be involved in our Accreditation journey.

To prepare for our upcoming survey, our health care team will participate in a number of activities related to quality and safety including assessments, improvement initiatives, mock tracers and a new education campaign. We are encouraging everyone to stay engaged and participate as there are several opportunities to win fun prizes; it's our time to shine again!
